The Power of Reaching Out

“How Are You?” is an underrated sentence. People ask this question mechanically nowadays without listening to the response.

We rush into work without taking the time to know our colleagues. We rush into life without taking the time to know our friends and even our family.

Most of the time, we get into meet ups without being present. We are physically here but mentally over there… somewhere in our head…. We do not know the background or mood of our acquaintances, friends, colleagues which would give us an understanding of their behaviour and energy.

For better relationships, being strong means caring for each other, inspiring our surrounding and reaching out.

Here are easy tips to implement in your day-to-day

Be selfish. Take care of yourself first and set boundaries. Just like they tell you in the plane before taking off. In case of emergency always put your own mask of oxygen before helping others. Without oxygen nobody can survive. Heal yourself first before trying to heal others.

Be selfless. Once you are strong enough, help others and assist when you can. Just like leader wolves look out for the rest of the clan, look out for your friends and family.

Sharing is caring. Share your knowledge to help the development of others. Only do so if requested. Nobody likes a know-it-all. Supporting the growth of someone, is one of the most rewarding achievement one can experience.

Go back to school. Be a good student. Never stop learning. There are plenty of free classes nowadays. Take some coaching sessions and read books.
